Anne with Peter
The four of us went out for lunch
Back at the house. Anne, with a red rose of Lancashire, given to her by Vicky.
Peter took us on a sight seeing tour of the area. We ended up at Torquay (& not a palm tree in sight) so had to have a picture.
Anne & Peter pose for a picture by the waters edge.
This is where the surfers ride the waves. The beach is on the far side of the bay.
Just half an hour away from Geelong lives one of Anne's school friends, Chris, with his wife June. Anne & Chris had met up at a school reunion in Wigan a couple of years back when Chris was over in the UK visiting family. They have lived in Australia for about 27 years, but still know how to roll out a Lancashire welcome. It was nice to hear someone speaking in the "mother tongue"
Anne & Chris, the only two to turn up for the St. Thomas More school (Wigan), Australia branch reunion. After a lengthy chat & a lovely meal (I sampled my very first oysters. Yummy) our hosts drove us back to our hotel in the city.

It had turned midnight when we said our farewells at the hotel. The following day was going to be a testing one as we head interstate to South Australia.
