More of the same for today

Another early start this morning as we were picked up at our motel and whisked off to the most famous of Sounds, Milford. A 2hr 30mins journey climbing mountains and dropping into valley's. The coach ride was in order to give me a break from driving and enable me to take in the scenery. There were stop off's on our journey both to and from Milford Sound. Before descending into Milford we had to drive through a one and a quarter mile long tunnel which was cut through a mountain. The boat we toured the Sound on was a lot smaller than yesterday's as indeed was the Sound itself. The boat trip lasted just over 90 minutes, but we were able to get closer in to the shore to see points of interest. Yet again the sun shone down on us. The downside to that is that the water falls weren't at their best. Still an impressive sight though. Those pictures were of our journey to and sailing Milford Sound. The next few are of stops we made on the way back. Arriving back at the motel late afternoon we were able to catch up on the pile of washing before heading out on another cruise at 8 o'clock to see the Glow Worm Caves across on the other side of Lake Te Anau. Unfortunately not allowed any photo opportunities there, but it was amazing. The previous two snaps are of Lake Te Anau at dusk. The next 3 views across the lake were taken before we set off for Invercargill just after lunch today.
